It may be that you also need to have more confidence in your role or your ability. It may be that you try and pursue BLS certification, as this helps you to be more adept when dealing with emergencies, and it also allows you to stand out amongst other candidates. You might also want to pursue additional training within your role, as this will help you to be more confident and stand out for all of the right reasons. Things like this will help you to not only excel in your job search but also have more confidence in yourself and your abilities. If you feel as though you are always going up against stronger candidates, then this can be a blow, but believe it or not, it’s well within your ability to do something about that.

If you apply for jobs that do not interest you, then this will show when you go for your interview. Consider that most employers don’t only evaluate the qualifications that you have, but also your genuine passion for the role. Employers often believe that having passion for a role is one of the reasons why employees tend to do well within their specific role. If you are excited about a job, then you need to show this during your interviews, and you also need to make sure that you show this in your cover letter as well. Create a list of the details and why you are eager for the role, and make sure that this really comes across during the interview. If you can do that, then everything else will fall into place.
