No matter the type of business you run, increasing your brand awareness and trying to attract more visitors should be an important part of your business plan - the more people you have visiting, the more revenue you will bring in, which will lead to greater profits.
However, a lot of businesses struggle to boost their visitor base. This is mostly down to not using the right method of advertising. Choosing the wrong channels or relying solely on traditional methods can limit your reach and prevent potential customers from discovering your business.
So, how do you attract more visitors? Some companies will go down the route of improving their online presence. Local establishments, such as churches, may go down the route of led church signs, to bring in the local public, whilst promotions and incentives are effective for shops.
Below is our guide on how to attract more visitors.
Special offers or exclusive incentives can be extremely useful to entice customers to visit. Depending on your offering, you can combine different types of offers to help reach a wider audience. For example, having over 65 deals can bring in an older clientele, whilst offering student discounts will help bring in younger customers. You could also offer limited-time promotions, bundle deals, or loyalty rewards to encourage repeat visits.
Making sure that you are being seen online should be a priority. Improving your website, social media, and online listings will all help increase awareness, and by increasing your awareness, more people will start to know about you and hopefully visit. For your social media channels, ensure you are posting regularly, and on your website, it can be useful to have a blog - blogs can be used to share useful information about what your business is up to.
As you can imagine, your business's physical appeal can have a big impact on whether people want to visit or not. Having a welcoming entry point helps encourage people to come in, whereas if your entry point is dingy and boring, customers may want to go elsewhere. Consider having an eye-catching window display, clear signage, and nicely decorated interiors. Small touches, such as seasonal decorations, are a nice way to keep your place updated throughout the year and keep it relevant - for example, decorating your shop in Christmas decorations during the festive period. It also helps customers trust you more (who doesn’t decorate during the festive period).
The best thing to do is combine various tactics, as some will work better than others. By trying different things to attract more visitors, you are more likely to be successful. Of course, the above is only a touch on the many other things you can do.
What plans do you have in place to increase your visitors? What methods have you used in the past that you think are most effective? Is there anything missing in our guide that you think we should be adding? Let us know in the comment box below. We look forward to hearing from you.
