Are you interested in joining the world of franchise owners? It is an exciting business niche to enter. There is already a recipe for success in many franchise playbooks, and others are a little more relaxed. If you are curious about some things you should know, please continue reading
Prioritize Social Media
One of the first things to know about being in the franchise business is that social media is still relevant, and it is absolutely essential for your success and even for your survival. Just because you have entered into an agreement with a nationally recognized franchise chain does not mean you do not need to advertise. In order to have social media franchise success, you need to stay active online.
There are certainly a lot of other franchises around your area that are vying for the same customers. What your franchise location does on social media will help you stand out. Running ads and hosting online trivia contests are two easy ways to keep your specific franchise in front of viewers’ eyes.
Get involved in Your Local Community
A great way for any franchise owner to get more people into their establishments is to get more involved in the local community. By showing up and putting your name out there, you are not only helping out people who live where you live and work, but you are showing everyone who is watching that you and your franchise care about what goes on around you.
Go to community fairs and get involved in local school and league teams. Consider sponsoring a team. Not only will it do good, but your franchise name will be emblazoned across their jerseys and on the scoreboard. Adopting a highway is a great idea, as well. Your franchise name will be seen by everyone who drives by the sign showing you care. That is great advertising and good for your employees, too.
Bring Local Celebrities into the Franchise
Local celebrities have a way of drawing crowds. Contact one in your area who is in good standing and has a following. Invite them into your franchise for a meet and greet or autograph session. Advertise their on-site date and times on your social media accounts and watch the people come.
Another strategy is to invite radio personalities to broadcast from your location. This can coincide with a beverage, food, gift card, or swag giveaway. Local sports teams always have fans, too, and bringing them in for autograph day is a fun way to attract people of all ages.
Owning a franchise is an exciting endeavor. There is already a business playbook in place, so a lot of the start-up work is done for you. Branding, logos, color schemes, and building layout are all predetermined. All you need to do is your due diligence to ensure you are entering into a legally and financially feasible agreement with the franchising company. Once you have your own location, advertise and market in traditional avenues and on social media to show your community that you have arrived. Success is waiting.
